Bonus Calculator: What You Must Bet to Withdraw

Updated 8 October 2026 · 6 minute read

Many bonuses ask you to bet a set amount before you can withdraw. This calculator turns the offer’s terms into the amount to bet, its average cost, and what is left of the bonus after that cost.

Tool · runs in your browserNothing is uploaded

Find the multiple in the offer’s terms. If a game’s house edge is not published, the result below is only as good as your estimate. Presets are illustrations, not any platform’s rules.

₹10,000you must stake before you can withdraw
1,000rounds at ₹10 a round
₹200expected loss while you do it
₹300what the bonus is worth after that cost
83%chance you finish with more than you started (ignores running out)
1%rough chance your balance hits zero first

On average, betting through ₹10,000 costs about ₹200, which leaves the ₹500 bonus worth about ₹300. That is an average: the swing is about ± ₹310, and the chance of running out of balance first is not small if it shows above zero. At these odds the bonus stops paying for itself above about 50×.

The same offer at other multiples (₹500 bonus, ₹10 a round)
MultipleMust stakeExpected costBonus worth
1×₹500₹10₹490
5×₹2,500₹50₹450
10×₹5,000₹100₹400
20×₹10,000₹200₹300
30×₹15,000₹300₹200
50×₹25,000₹500₹0

Chances use a normal approximation and treat the balance as a continuous walk, so read them as sizes of risk, not exact percentages.

What a turnover requirement is

Many bonuses come with a rule: bet a set amount before you can withdraw. That set amount is the turnover, also called the wagering requirement, rollover or playthrough. It is a multiple of a base amount:

  • turnover = multiple × bonus, when the terms apply the multiple to the bonus alone
  • turnover = multiple × (bonus + deposit), when they apply it to both

A 20× requirement on a ₹500 bonus with a ₹500 deposit comes to ₹10,000 on the first reading and ₹20,000 on the second. The wagering requirements page sets the two side by side.

The turnover is not what the bonus costs you. Most of that money comes back and is bet again. What you lose is the part the game keeps: the turnover times the house edge. That cost comes out of the bonus, and what is left is what the bonus is worth.

A worked example, line by line

The calculator above opens on this offer: a ₹500 bonus, a ₹500 deposit of your own, a 20× multiple on the bonus only, ₹10 a round. The game is the two-way illustration, with a 2.00% house edge, meaning the game keeps ₹2 of every ₹100 played on average. That game is an illustration of how such rounds are commonly described. It is not any platform’s rules, so swap in the odds from your own app.

  1. Must stake: ₹10,000. 20 × ₹500.
  2. Rounds: 1,000. ₹10,000 ÷ ₹10 a round. If a round takes a minute, that is 1,000 minutes of play.
  3. Expected loss: ₹200. ₹10,000 × 2.00%. This is the average price of unlocking the bonus.
  4. Bonus worth: ₹300. ₹500 − ₹200. A negative number here would mean unlocking costs more than the bonus pays.
  5. Chance of finishing ahead: 83%. Of 100 runs of this plan, about 83 end with more than you started with, counting the bonus. The tool ignores running out of balance on the way. The sentence under the tiles also gives a typical swing, here ± ₹310.
  6. Rough chance of running out: 1%. Your balance is ₹1,000, the deposit plus the bonus. In about 1 run in 100 it touches zero before the 1,000 rounds are done, and the bonus goes with it. Read this as a size of risk, not a promise.

Now change one thing. Pick the colour illustration under Game odds. The expected loss becomes ₹690, the bonus worth becomes −₹190, and the chance of finishing ahead drops to 26%. The offer did not change. The game under it did. Is a bonus worth it? tests this across five multiples and three games.

If your app states a house edge, or a return-to-player figure (the edge is then 100% minus that figure), pick My own house edge and type it in. The tool then assumes the swing of an even-money bet, so for long-shot bets its risk figures come out too low.

Terms the boxes cannot hold, such as how much each game counts, a maximum bet, a time limit or a withdrawal cap, are covered on the wagering requirements page.

Reading the answer

Start with what the bonus is worth. A positive number means the bonus beats its cost on average. A negative number means the opposite. Then check the two risk tiles: the chance of finishing ahead and the chance of running out first. A positive average with a high chance of running out still loses often.

Under the tiles the tool prints the same offer at 1×, 5×, 10×, 20×, 30× and 50×. Look there to see how quickly the worth falls as the multiple climbs.

The offers on the platform’s page

At the time of writing (8 October 2026), the platform’s page shows a “Mega Spin Event” banner reading “₹500 Bonus Awaits”, and prompts that say “Get ₹500” and “Get ₹28”. We do not know the terms behind any of them, and the ₹500 in this calculator is a round number, not that offer. Take the multiple, the base and the other terms from the offer itself. Bonus offers lists the questions to ask before you accept one.

What it cannot tell you

  • It does not know any platform’s terms, and we cannot see inside any platform. The answer is only as true as the numbers you type.
  • It cannot see a clause you did not enter, such as a time limit or a cap on withdrawals.
  • Every figure is an average with a wide spread around it.
  • A link in a chat that promises a huge bonus is a different problem. Run it through the link checker before you open it.

All of our free tools run in your browser, and the expected-loss calculator does the matching job for plain sessions with no bonus.

Common questions

If a bonus has a 20× turnover, how much do I have to bet?

Multiply 20 by the base the terms name. For a ₹500 bonus that is ₹10,000 if the base is the bonus alone, or ₹20,000 if it is the bonus plus a ₹500 deposit. The terms say which one applies.

What does “bonus worth” mean in the results?

It is the bonus minus the expected loss while you bet through the turnover. A positive number means the bonus beats its cost on average. A negative one means unlocking it costs more than it pays.

Why does the calculator ask for my average stake?

The stake sets how many rounds it takes to bet the turnover and how rough the ride is. It does not change the average cost, which is the turnover times the house edge.

How exact is the chance of running out of balance?

Not very. It treats a bumpy run of bets as a smooth walk, so it shows the size of the risk, not an exact percentage. Compare it between plans rather than quoting it.

Does the calculator know the terms of offers on the platform’s page?

No. We have not seen those terms. You type in the numbers from the offer itself, and the answer is only as good as those numbers.
