Session Timer With Break Reminders and Cost

Updated 8 October 2026 · 6 minute read

Set how long a session will last and how often you want a break. The timer beeps, buzzes and changes the page title when a break is due, and shows in rupees what the minutes cost on average. It works only while this page stays open.

A 30-minute session at 60 rounds an hour and ₹100 a round is 30 rounds and ₹3,000 staked. If the game keeps 2% of each stake on average, that costs about ₹60, with a typical swing of ± ₹548 around it. Break reminders sound at 10 and 20 minutes.

Run the timer

It only runs while this page stays open and awake. Nothing is saved, and nothing leaves your phone.

30:00

When a break is due

If you lock the phone or switch to another app, the browser may pause this page and the reminder may not sound until you come back. A phone alarm will still ring, so set one as a back-up.

What the timer does

You choose how long a session will last and how often you want a break. The timer counts down. When a break is due it beeps, vibrates if your browser can, and changes the page title, so you notice even from another tab.

It also turns minutes into rupees. At your pace and stake it works out what the game keeps on average, so the clock and the cost sit side by side. Nothing is saved and nothing leaves your phone. Reloading the page clears the timer.

It runs only while this page is open and awake. Read “What it cannot do” below before you rely on it.

How to use it

  1. Pick the length of the session and how often you want a break. Type 0 for no break reminders.
  2. Enter your pace in rounds per hour, your stake per round, the share the game keeps and what a winning round pays. Take them from your own app’s screen. The starting figures are illustrations, not any app’s rules.
  3. Press Test the alert once to check the sound and the buzz.
  4. Press Start. At each break, step away from the screen for a minute and compare what you have put in with the limit you set before you began. The daily limit guide shows one way to set it.
  5. When the time is up, finish the round you are in. If you want to carry on, start a new timer so the next stretch has an end too.

How the cost is worked out

There are three steps. Rounds are the pace times the hours. The money staked is the rounds times your stake. What the game keeps, on average, is the money staked times the share it keeps. Only whole rounds count: seven minutes at 12 rounds an hour is one round, not 1.4.

Here is a worked example, using the settings the page opens with. A 30-minute session at 60 rounds an hour and ₹100 a round is 30 rounds and ₹3,000 staked. If the game keeps 2% of each stake, it keeps about ₹60 of that. The timer shows how the cost builds up at each break:

AfterRounds so farStaked so farGame keeps, on average
10 min, break 110₹1,000₹20
20 min, break 220₹2,000₹40
30 min, end30₹3,000₹60

The second figure to read is the swing. We model each round in the simplest way that gives your average: it pays the multiple you enter, with just the chance that makes the game keep the share you typed. For the settings above, a typical session lands ± ₹548 from the average. That is more than nine times the average cost of ₹60, which is why one 30-minute session can finish well ahead or well behind. It finishes ahead, with more back than staked, about 38% of the time.

What changes the cost, and what does not

Change from the starting planAverage costTypical swingEnds ahead
None: 30 minutes, 60 rounds an hour, a win pays 2×₹60± ₹54838%
Rounds twice as fast (120 an hour)₹120± ₹77439%
Rounds three times slower (20 an hour)₹20± ₹31635%
A full hour instead of 30 minutes₹120± ₹77439%
A win pays 9×, not 2×₹60± ₹1,53642%

Pace and length change the cost, because they change how many rounds you play. The size of a win does not. A 9× payout leaves the average at ₹60 and makes the swing about 26 times larger than that. Long shots do not make play cheaper. They make a single session harder to guess. In every row the chance of ending ahead stays under half, because the game keeps a share of every stake.

What it cannot do

  • It cannot stop you. It cannot close an app, lock a screen or block a page. It only makes the time visible.
  • It cannot run while the page is asleep. Phones pause web pages when the screen locks or another app opens. The timer catches up when you return and says which reminders it missed. Keep this page open beside the game on a laptop, a second device or a split screen, and set a phone alarm as a back-up.
  • It does not know your app’s rules. The cost is only as true as the share you type, and the round is a simplified model with the same average, not any app’s payout table.
  • It gives averages, not forecasts. A lucky first session says nothing about the next one.

Where to go next

Decide your limit first, with the daily limit guide, then see how stake and speed multiply in the cost per hour table. When a session ends, write down what happened in the play ledger: the timer shows what a session should cost on average, and the ledger shows what it did cost. The games guide lists four questions that show what any game costs. Everything else is in the free tools.

Common questions

Will the timer still work if I lock my phone or switch to another app?

Not reliably. Browsers often pause a web page when the screen locks or another app opens, so a reminder can come late or not at all. When you return, the timer catches up and says which reminders it missed. Keep the page open and awake, and set a phone alarm as a back-up.

Does a break reminder stop me from playing?

No. It only beeps, buzzes and changes the page title. It cannot close an app, block a page or lock a screen, and the decision to stop stays with you. Its use is to make the time visible before the next round, when it is easy to lose track.

Why does a timer show a cost before I have played anything?

Because time and money move together. Rounds come at a steady pace, so more minutes mean more rounds, more money staked and more kept by the game on average. The figure is an average from the numbers you type. It is not a prediction of what will happen in your session.

What should I type for the share the game keeps?

Use the figure your own app states, if it states one. We start at 2% and a win that pays double, only as an illustration. We have not seen any game’s rules, because they sit behind an account. If you are unsure, try a higher share too and see how much the answer moves.

Does the timer save my settings or send them anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored, so reloading the page clears the timer. If you press the copy-link button, your settings travel inside the link, after the # sign, and a website never sees that part of an address.

How often should a break reminder sound?

There is no right answer. Pick a gap short enough that you notice it, such as every 10 or 15 minutes, and change it after a few sessions. If the gap is longer than the session, no reminder falls inside it, and the page tells you so.
