Decimal odds are the money back for every ₹1 staked, stake included: 2.50 means ₹250 back on ₹100. A payout shown as 2.5× is the same thing.

The starting figures are examples, not any bookmaker’s or game’s odds: type the odds your own screen shows. Chances and margins here come from the figures you type, and they say nothing about whether any bet is a good one.

Decimal odds of 1.91 are about 10/11 as a fraction and −110 in American odds. A winning ₹1,000 stake comes back as ₹1,910, a gain of ₹910. The odds break even at a 52.36% chance: if the bet really wins less often than that, it loses on average.

To work out what a bet pays, multiply your stake by the decimal odds. At 1.91 that is ₹1,910 on ₹1,000. Subtract the stake and the gain is ₹910. Fractional and American odds convert to decimal first, and the converter does that for you.

Check the figures against your own screen. Prices change, and a payout here is only as true as the odds you type. The converter assumes the stake is returned with a win, as decimal odds do.

These are example prices, not any bookmaker’s or game’s odds. Replace them with the ones in front of you, and read the chance as a break-even line, not a forecast.

Common questions

What is the formula for the payout on a bet?

Payout = stake × decimal odds. ₹1,000 at 1.91 returns ₹1,910. The gain is the payout minus the stake, ₹910. If the bet loses, nothing comes back. For fractional odds, add 1 to the fraction first; for American odds, convert to decimal first.

How do I find the payout at fractional odds like 5/2?

Multiply the stake by the fraction for the gain, then add the stake. ₹100 at 5/2 gains ₹250 and returns ₹350. Or convert to decimal first: 5/2 is 3.50, and ₹100 × 3.50 = ₹350. Both routes give the same figure.

What do I get back if the bet loses?

Nothing: the stake is gone. Odds describe what comes back on a win. The tile for the gain is what you net if it wins, and the loss is the whole stake if it does not. The chance the odds need to break even tells you how often the bet must win to cover those losses.

Can odds tell me who will win?

No. Odds are prices with a margin built in, and the chances they imply are break-even lines. They describe what a bet pays, not what will happen. The converter works out arithmetic on the prices you type and says nothing about the result.

Is anything I type into the odds converter uploaded?

No. The conversions are worked out in your browser and nothing is saved or sent. If you press the copy-link button, the odds go into the link after the # sign, a part that a website never receives.
